Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is essentially a process of Selective Photothermolysis.

Here is the breakdown of how the Clarity II makes this happen:

1. The Target: Melanin

The laser emits a concentrated beam of light that is specifically attracted to the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. Think of the hair shaft like an antenna that absorbs all that energy.

2. The Transformation: Light to Heat

Once the melanin absorbs the light, it instantly converts it into intense heat. This heat travels down the hair shaft to the very base of the follicle—the “bulb” and the “bulge”—where hair growth starts.

3. The Result: Disabling the Root

The heat damages or destroys these growth centers. Once a follicle is properly treated, it can no longer produce a hair. Because the laser is so precise (especially with Clarity II’s IntelliTrack™), it destroys the hair root without damaging the surrounding skin.

Why Multiple Sessions are Necessary:

 Laser hair removal only works on hair in the Anagen (Growth) Phase.

• At any given time, only about 15-20% of your hair is in this phase.

• The other hairs are “resting” or “shedding.”

• This is why a series of 6–8 sessions (spaced 4–6 weeks apart) is required to “catch” every hair as it enters the growth cycle.
